			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Recently there has been a lot of people out there railing on Facebook about how they are screwing it&#8217;s users and throwing privacy out the window. This guy makes a good case about how it&#8217;s not FB&#8217;s fault and we should all just relax.</p>

It has done more to bring people together than any technology of the last five years, and the good it has brought far outweighs the bad. We made the decision to turn our personal information over to a private company, and for the most part Facebook made good use of it.</p></blockquote>

Facebook gives you choices about how to manage your data, but <a href="http://www.mercurynews.com/peninsula/ci_15065184?nclick_check=1">they aren&#8217;t fair choices</a>, and while the onus is on the individual to manage these choices, <a href="http://www.businessinsider.com/how-to-lock-down-your-facebook-profile-2010-5">Facebook makes it damn difficult </a>for the average user to understand or manage this. We also don&#8217;t think Facebook has much respect for you or your data, especially in the context of the future.</p></blockquote>
